Diespeker was delighted to learn that a project we contributed to earned Sphere8 the accolade of Small Commercial Project of the Year at the Resin Flooring Association Awards.
The project was for the new Harrods Wellness Clinic, which includes 14 treatment rooms, two personal training studios, a private consultation room and a photography studio, offering a luxury spa experience for visitors.
For the spa, Stanton Williams Architects aimed to create a restful interior using natural materials to create a stylish yet intimate ambience enabling visitors to embrace the ‘spirit of wellness’.
Sphere8’s rock resin wall finishes and poured resin terrazzo floor fitted the bill perfectly. They were complemented by sub-contractor Diespeker’s aesthetic coving to give a smoother, seamless finish. The pre-formed coving was manufactured in Diespeker’s South East London factory and was created using Sphere8’s bespoke resin based terrazzo blend.
Sphere8 CEO Alex Dennis, said: “Diespeker is able to deliver exceptional quality custom made pieces of terrazzo material for us – on this project we commissioned them to produce the preformed coving which needed to integrate seamlessly with our floor and wall finishes. The result was excellent, and the supply and fit service was exactly as expected.”
Harrods customers are now fully able to enjoy an ‘exquisite, serene space’ and a range of aesthetic and holistic treatments.
