Diespeker MD John Krause donned his running shoes once more for the 35th Zurich Maratón de Sevilla on February 17.
Conditions were pretty much perfect for the run, which took place along a new course for this popular IAAF Gold Label road race. Some great times were seen, with five men running under 2:07 and four women running inside 2:27. The marathon was won by Ethiopian runners Ayana Tsedat and Guteni Shone.
John recorded a time of 3.44, he tells us this is 16 minutes faster than his first marathon run which he undertook 19 years ago. His position was 151 in the veteran male class.
Next up for John is the Marseille marathon taking place in March. We hope conditions are as good for the next race as in Seville!
