Which natural stone or terrazzo would you choose for Mocha Mousse?

Pantone colour of the year 2025: PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse

Each year Diespeker highlights the Pantone colour of the year and which of our materials it will work well with. Chosen by the Pantone Color Institute, the colour is deemed to “express a global mood and an attitude, reflecting collective desire in the form of a single, distinct hue”.

In 2025 the colour is Mocha Mousse.

A brown hue might not immediately appeal; for some people it might feel dull, boring, uninspiring. However, as the name suggests, this is a warm brown colour that makes you think of a chocolate and coffee dessert – not dull in the slightest!

The Pantone Color Institute calls it ‘sophisticated’, ‘lush’, with a ‘sensorial and comforting warmth’.

As a reasonably neutral colour, it also lends itself to a range of complementary or bolder styles of natural stone and terrazzo.

Marble

You might opt for a creamy marble, such as MA002 Roman Travertino or MA055 Travertino Navona. Or perhaps you would enjoy picking up on the colour theme with the striking MA118 Rainforest Brown.

For contrast, a green veined MA013 Exotic Green or a pale pink MA071 Rosa Tea might be more appealing. New to the Diespeker range are MA157 Turkish Arabescato and MA082 Bardiglio light which is a complex cloudy marble in classic natural tones – both are perfect for a minimalist colour scheme.

Granite

For granite, we like the look of GR021 Rosa Beta which mixes black, brown and white for a varied surface or GR172 Coral Reef.

Or for a dramatic look, you might consider GR113 Indian Multicolour with its red tones – or if you really love the theatrical, GR048 Cosmic Black with gold highlights would be an attention-grabbing choice!

Terrazzo

From our Standard range, the ever popular TE007 would make a fantastic pairing with Mocha Mousse. Its grey, black, white and beige chippings provide both contrast and harmony. In a similar vein with a slightly darker background is TE014.

Standard Plus range includes lots of interesting options, including TE079 with terracotta tones that we think would work well, and TE152 which should pair perfectly with the chocolatey hues.

In our Luxury range, TE114 and TE114B are both statement designs, again with a mix of chipping colours that will work well with Mocha Mousse.

Viewing or Samples

The good news is that you don’t have to take a chance on choosing the perfect stone surface to match with Mocha Mousse. You can either order samples or visit our showroom (with the Pantone swatch to hand) to make sure that your inspiration will work.
